The education in Ressu Comprehensive School in the grades 1-9 is based on the national core curriculum , the joint curricular guidelines issued by the City of Helsinki, Ressu Comprehensive School’s own curriculum as well as on the PYP-curriculum (Primary Years Program, grades 1-4) and MYP-curriculum (Middle Years Program, grades 5-9) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Our objective is to help the children and adolescents in their growth to honest, responsible, cooperative and inquisitive individuals appreciating the diversity of skills and environments. We want to provide each pupil with strong basic skills and knowledge, prepare them for future studies and support the development of their social skills and healthy self-esteem
